GER322   Dutch Language and Culture for Specialists   (20 credits)

Description

This module is aimed at students who started studying Dutch at the University with existing knowledge of Dutch and will typically have taken GER110 at Level 1 and GER321 at level 2. It extends their linguistic proficiency in Dutch to beyond the advanced level. At the same time it deepens their cultural knowledge of the Low Countries and sharpens their intercultural skills. The module combines advanced translation skills with formal speaking and writing skills, and a thematic approach to culture.
